"For I was hungry and you gave me food; I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink; I was a stranger and you welcomed me; I was naked and you gave me clothing; I was sick and you took care of me; I was in prison and you visited me." Matthew 25:35-36
St. Luke's is committed to serving those in need in our community. One of our outreach ministries is The ARK (Alzheimer's Respite Care). The ARK provides care for families with Alzheimer's Disease and other memory disorders by offering caregivers a needed break and keeping loved ones connected to their community. This ministry at St. Luke's began in 1996 and initially served 13 families with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. Today, The ARK is open four days a week with 10 participants a day and has served over 450 families. Each year, The ARK holds a 5K Race and 1 Mile Fun Run starting and finishing at St. Luke's to raise money and awareness for this important ministry.
